Stephen E. Keister

Stephen E. Keister is a 1974 graduate of Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law.  He has practiced law exclusively in the Van Wert, Ohio area since November, 1974.  He served as the Van Wert County Prosecuting Attorney from 1980-1988.  He served eighteen years as a member of the Van Wert County Hospital Board of Trustees and twenty years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Van Wert Visiting Nurses Association.  Also, Steve served as a former member of the Van Wert National Bank Board of Directors (now known as First Financial Bank).  Steve’s practice has emphasized estate planning, trusts and real estate since 1990.  He is a member of the Van Wert County and Ohio State Bar Associations, as well as a former member of the National Estate Planning Attorney Association.

Aaron M. Baker

Aaron Baker graduated with distinction from Pettit College of Law, Ohio Northern University. He received a degree in Political Science/Pre-Law and History from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana and attended Crestview High School.  In 2010, he joined Steve in practice.  

Aaron is the son of Darle and Linda Baker of rural Ohio City.  He is the brother of Joel (Amy) Baker and Seth (Anna) Baker of Van Wert.  Growing up on a farm, Aaron was active in 4-H and the Van Wert County Jr. Fair Board.  Today Aaron is a Rotarian and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Business Development Corporation of Van Wert, Inc. (BDC) and Van Wert Health.  During his time at Indiana Wesleyan, Aaron interned for then-Congressman Mike Pence in Washington, D.C., was a member of the John Wesley Honors College and served as Student Government President.  Today he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Indiana Wesleyan Alumni Association.  At law school, Baker served as the Ohio Review Editor on the Ohio Northern Law Review and interned for the Honorable William C. Lee of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana.

Aaron focuses on agricultural law and estate planning practice, together with practicing real estate, business and probate.

Keri L. McClure

Keri McClure joined Keister & Baker Law Office in January 2016. McClure is a graduate of Ohio Norther University Pettit Collage of Law and she earned her bachelor's degree in Biology from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. She is also a graduate of Crestview High School. 

In November, 2015 she was sworn in as an attorney by the Ohio Supreme Court at the historic Ohio Theatre in Columbus.

McClure is the daughter of Jim McClure and Lisa Counterman. She grew up working on a farm in rural Van Wert owned and operated by her father, Jim, and her grandfather, Glenn McClure. She is a avid water skier and she competed in numerous local, regional, national, and international events.

During law school, McClure served as the Articles Research Editor on the Ohio Norther Law Review and as a judicial extern of Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor at the Supreme Court of Ohio. Upon graduation, McClure was ranked second in her class and was named a member of the honorary Wilis Society. 

McClure focuses on developing an agricultural law, real estate, business and estate planning practice and is an active member of the Van Wart community.

Justin Dickman

ASSOCIATE

Justin Dickman

Justin Dickman graduated from Ohio Northern University College of Law in December of 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications graduating summa cum laude from Youngstown State University in 2009. Justin is also a graduate of Van Wert High School. 

Prior to his arrival at Keister & Baker Law Office, Justin was a licensed attorney in Michigan from 2012 to 2018 where he most recently was the legislative counsel for the Michigan Townships Association. Justin has extensive experience serving on staff for both state and federal legislators, serving as law clerk in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Jim Jordan and as chief of staff and legislative director in the Michigan Senate. During law school, Dickman served as legal extern for the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Legal Division and legal intern for the Ohio Senate Chief Legal Counsel.  

Justin is married to Dr. Rachel (White) Dickman originally from New Lothrop, Michigan. Rachel is currently a post-doctoral research fellow in education policy at the University of Southern California and, in July 2018, will join the faculty at Old Dominion University as a tenure track professor in the College of Education’s Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership. The couple now reside in Van Wert with their two dogs, Gus and Bear. Justin is the son of Denny and Maribeth Dickman of Van Wert County and the brother of Brittany (Dickman) Adams of Herndon, Virginia.

Justin is an avid sports enthusiast, traveler, and Eagle Scout. Justin ran cross country and track collegiately where he was a conference champion in track and national qualifier in cross country. Justin and Rachel still continue to race competitively as post-collegiate athletes for New Balance Playmakers.   

In his new role, Justin will practice in areas which include real estate, estate planning, and business law.
